The kids are getting super excited about Halloween, and to tell you the truth, I am too! I love this time of year... They have had two days of dress up at daycare and school, although I failed to take pictures of them dressed up :( I did get pictures of the treat bags I sent today for snack at school and them in some festive black an orange!!

Today we celebreated Shelby's 4th birthday with family and will be doing it up with her school friends on the weekend. She had a great evening... and even ASKED to go to bed!!

I love this season... and Christmas as well of course. Fall seems to be one of the longest seasons that you can decorate for... fall, then halloween... I decorate... and enjoy it WAY too much!!

We've been away for the better part of this week in Windsor, the kids staying with the in-laws and us staying at the casino enjoying a little momma/daddy time and when we got together yesturday to start the trek home ( so I could work!) it just seemed way too rushed. Kinda wished we could of taken our time coming home and relaxed the night and next day away, but nope... :( I headed off to work and the kids off to bed and when I got home this morning I was EXHAUSTED! But I woke up to a nice little surprise... Shelbys cat Moo all curled up with me and her blanket... it's the little things she does that make me realize that everything is going to be alright :)

And it is only going to get worse! We were super busy this weekend with a friends wedding, shopping around for girly bedding for Shelby and trying to get the house back in order. And now I'm on a 9 day stretch... there is a payoff though... three days, no kids, and a hotel paid for in Windsor! I can see the light! Now if this cold would find a new home we would be all set!

We headed back to the wedding venue this afternoon to place the deposit and iron out some details... and of course to take some pictures. I'm not kidding when I say that this place gets better every time I look at it!!

After, what seems like forever, we are finally do the last step in our plight to become adults... and we're getting MARRIED! We have known for some time that it was going to happen, just never followed through... but today, after visiting a few locations, we chose one and LOVE IT!!

Complete with country feel, a barn, horses, cows, a pond.... endless opportunities for GREAT pictures and memories... now I can hardly wait for the day to get here! My pictures do it no justice whatsoever.... we are headed back on Sunday though and I am determined to remember to bring the camera and take some real shots then!!

We took the kids out to Great Lakes Farms today to look at the hall for a possible wedding site and had a great time with them. They enjoyed picking apples and we ended the trip with a trip to Port Stanley and Mackies for fries... a great way to spend a Sunday!!

We took the kids to the fair yesturday afternoon. They thoroughly enjoyed their time there and were pretty worn out once we got home. We however, had a sitter lined up and headed back alone... the fair is always better at night.... especially alone... :)

Okay... I officially lost over 60 days here... the summer went by so fast and there was so much fun had between work, soccer and family and friends schedules. We were definitely not ready for the summer to end and school to start, but it did, and I sent my two little munchkins off to big school for their very first day yesturday.

It was actually a pretty bittersweet moment, they were excited, I was sad to see them grow up so fast, but happy that they are moving from my little people to fun little school-goers, gaining more and more independence every day.

I even met another fellow blogger and Wundermum in the schoolyard today... was nice to meet you!!

Been a month already... working sure does take up all your time!!

I forgot how life busy can get... especially with working and the kids and their activities in the evenings. A month has passed already and I'm not even sure where it has gone. But I'm pretty sure I have pictures for all of it, so I'm going to try and create a little timeline from the past 30 days... here's hoping something comes of it and keep back on the track!

The kids headed to the park for a picnic lunch with Daddy and instead of eating the crust, they left it for the birds...

The princess again... can you tell she loves to have her picture taken.. lol.. although I realized after that the lens was dirty... hence the black marks on her face :(

Owen and his little school friend... I headed on a trip with them to Thames Park where we all had a great time... minus the tall grass and Owen's extremley sensitive skin!!

Happy 4th Birthday Mckayla!! We had a great day and the weather was more than co-operative for an afternoon in the pool!!

We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with friends while the kids played in the water... perfect day for it, was far too hot to be indoors, or directly in the sun!! And we ended everything with fireworks in the park.. we all pooled our money together and put on a pretty good show... and the kids enjoyed themselves too!! ;)

Just a quick little something from last night... got together with the girlies and had panzies, wine, yummy treats and watch a movie for a friends birthday... we usually hit up the bar, but she wanted something low key this time around. It was a nice and relaxing night... but I came home so full and high on sugar that I crashed shortly after walking in the door!!

Holy... where has the time gone? Seems like only a couple weeks ago we were getting through February!!

Busy day today.. on no sleep.. well. sorry... 2 hours! And I'm expected to join friend tonight for dinner... oh I need to find some energy.. my eyes are burning already!

Grad pictures cam back today as well... not all that impressed, but they turned out alright... and they weren't that expensive... I guess you get what you pay for right?!

You never truely realize how busy life is until you do something like this... even to sit down for 5 minutes and try and take some of the day in feels like far too much to ask! Every night we are out doing something with the kids or for ourselves... soccer, swimming, friends, the park..... work... it never ends... but I enjoy coming back here ever few days... so I am going to try and keep it up on a every other day or weekly basis... whatever I can get on for!!

On to other things.... 8 hour registration exam was yesturday... talk about exhausting... I wrote last night right out of my week... I think I was the worst person to be around... it was so draining that I just didn't have it in me to say anything nice :( Sorry for anyone who hit my path last night.... :)

Another night of soccer tonight... and the park of course... now I head to work for the night.... blah... on a brighter night... I just accepted the first of 8 shifts at the hospital over the next few weeks... oh how I miss working there... can't wait to be back!!

We decided to make cupcakes for our weekly "momma tea time", seeing as it will be Mothers Day and all, and also were surprised by a visit from Mckayla, who ended up staying for the night. The house was LOUD to say the least, but the cupcakes are baked and frosted and the girls are finally sleeping and Owen just passed out watching Project Runway with me... he tried... just couldn't stay awake any longer... lol

It seems life gets busier by the minute... and as soon as I get back and promise myself I'll work on this, it gets passed to the wayside again and I find something that is more important to do! I'm going to "try" and change that.. :)

That being said... this week was BUSY!! Soccer twice, swimming for both kids, start the new job on Thursday night, got hired at LHSC.... yep.. I got HIRED!! I couldn't beleive my ears... I mean, I was really, really hoping they would call me back, but to get that call, it was great news!!

Other than that... we are just enjoying the down time this weekend... the kids are watching movies nicely together and I've been able to get the majority of the housework and laundry done.

Been away for over a week... and I can't even begin to remember all that has happened in the time that I've been away... all I know is I've been working through training like a mad woman and trying to get some time in with the kids when I can.

Training is finally done now and I officially start this Thursday... whoo hoo... and of course the summer schedules for the kids are picking up as well... Owen started soccer tonight... number 9 again this year... he was super proud of that... and they both start swimming lessons tomorrow. I'll post a few pictures from the past few days...

Shelby has always been so particular about how she looks, liking to keep her hands clean and changing if she is dirty, but since the warmer weather has arrived, I go to get her and get handed my sweet little princess with dirt and sand in every possible place you could think of.... lol... Quiet day around here... helped the Daddio man with some gardening (although he did almost all of it... I hate weeding.. lol) and then headed off for a interview this afternoon at LHSC. I think it went well and they had already called for my references before I had a chance to get home, so that can only be a good sign!!

Forgot to add... yesturday when I was picking Shelby up, the treacher told me of a story of her day.. it was too cute and so Shelby!! There was a substitute teacher today... and she was from Lebanon I think, and had the scarf on her head and Shelby started to inquire about it and the woman explained that it was a tradition from her country. So Shelby asked her where she was from and she told her... then she asked Shelby where she was from... and matter of factly, she said 'I'm from home' ohhhhh... Shelby.... what would we do without you!!

No updates or pictures from yesturday... too busy!! Daddio came home yesturday... the kids were tres excited... I think it was 105 days yesturday!! Minus the trip out there, we were for sure missing him, and here he is... home for a WHOLE WEEK!!

We're just hanging out so far today... Shelby is at school and Owen is home for the day with me. He had the first EVER 'I don't want to be here' moment at school today and it BAD! Clinging on to me and sceaming unlike anything I have ever heard out of him. I had a GREAT time last night.. but definitely paid for it this morning when the kids decided to get up at 7am!! Why is it on school days, they will sleep in until 9, but on a Saturday they have to be up at 7!?

Oh well.. they let me doze in and out and layed with me and watched cartoons until about 9 when we started the day. The weather was so nice that we made sure to get out and enjoy it too and brought Mckayla along with us for the walk.. the girls adore each other... I feel bad for Owen though... they are always talking about "best friends" when they are together and he gets kind of upset that he doesn't have a close friend like that so close by :(

Owen is addicted to watching Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs and of course, Flint Lockwood is his idol... so it would only be fitting that he want cheeseburgers for every meal!

I've gotten creative though, we've had chicken burgers, turkey burgers, homemade burgers with ground vegetables... and tonight... we had veggie burgers and broccoli!! I'll make it fun... but to a point... and there better be some nutritional value to the meal!! So far..... no complaints!

It was also easter and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves both here and at my parents... even spent the majority of the day outdoors!!

We were up and out early this morning... hoping to beat the rush, and instead got stuck right in the middle of it... I think today could of competed pretty highly with Boxing Day... far too many ignorant people out... that is for sure!!

We did stop out early this afternoon to get Miss Shleby a new swim suit as I told them we would head out swimming this afternoon... and she was so obsessed with the suit that she HAD TO PUT IT ON!!! And when I cam back from cleaning the back rooms, this was her... all curled up on the couch... in her new suit... we'll be swimming another day :)

Another great day... I spent the day in training and the kids hung out with the sitter for the day. Still not back to daycare... I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable with him going back till next week... soooo... we are going to enjoy the long weekend!

The kids in Owen's class and the educators were kind enough to make Owen get well cards, it was so sweet to see the excitement on his face, knowing that they care about him and were wondering how he was doing. One of the educators came by this morning and dropped off a nice basket with some small toys and activities and all the cards... great job guys... it was very much appreciated and a big surprise and definitely cheered him up!

Nothing much is going on here tonight... Owens little friend Chad met up with us for dinner tonight at my parents and they were having such a great time playing when it was time to go that I invited him to stay for the night. They are now enjoying boy time watching movies in his room of course.... I hope that they fall asleep soon... I still need to catch up from the other night...

1 trip to the doctors
A referral to the ER

An 1.5 hour ultrasound

Many different doctors and specialists

6 hours of waiting
Plenty of tears

And one trip to the OR later...

We are home and recovering... not going to go into too much detail... but Owen had some trouble with his boys and constipation was the furthest thing from what was actually happening. We're good now though... :)

Yeah... what a headline eh?! My little, but big kid was sent home today with belly issues. This morning he told me that his belly hurt, but told me it was his jeans and when I loosened them, he said that everything was alright... so away we went. But with the poop thing... he likes his privacy and tells me when he goes... I just forgot :(

Well, I got a call from the daycare, saying that he had been complaining about it all day and wasn't really participating much, so away I went, to go and pick the little pooper up. Fast forward to this evening... plenty of water, applesauce, prune juice and peg powder and still nothing. I told him, that he can stay home tomorrow, but that he must go!

Quiet night in again... but well spent. I spend the majority of the morning at the gym getting my butt kicked so decided to kick it low key for the evening! While I was out, I bought everything to make banana bread with the kids and we managed to get together 6 loaves for us and Nana and Papa.. they enjoyed it, which was nice! I have also started eating healthier.. I want to have this weight gone... this year.... so I put together some nice salads, which look pretty plain, but are super tasty!

A day with the girls today... Mommy weekends... that's what being a mommy is all about right?! We chat and goosip and they PLAY!! That's exactly what happened here again today... usually on Sunday, but it was welcomed today and we'll enjoy some down time tomorrow before starting the week again.

Shelby is gone for the night, but me and Owen biked over to my parents place and I headed out with my mom and sister while Owen played with the girls. And then.... we headed home just in time for Earth Hour and enjoyed some quiet time inside and outside with the neighbours. Owen thought it was pretty neat and had plenty of questions and even taught me a thing or two :)

Quiet day around here... I did however make it out to get yet another gym membership. I hold one at the Y with the kids for swimming, but just haven't been able to get there on my own all that often... that place is boring when you are alone!! So... I joined Goodlife yet again this morning... I had a membership there a couple of years ago when I started school, but just got so busy and couldn't take advantage of it.... but I really need to now. I have 100 pounds to lose... and starting Friday, it will start to happen!

Another mild night, so we had some friends over for dinner and headed to the park again... nice having it just down the street... it's not the best park, but it is more that enough to run off a little energy after dinner!

Things have been crazy these past couple weeks to say the least, and my patience and faith in myself has been tesed more than once, but has helped me to figure out what it is I really want out of life and how to get there.

So... I finished my consolidation hours!! A whole 336 hours as of last Tuesday... whoo hoo... so I made fruit trays and brownies with cute tags for the girls to show them my thanks (the weather was crappy out while we were out today so I couldn't get any pictures, so I'm going to add the brownie ones.. and some others if I find some). They enjoyed everything and although I was happy to be done my time there, I was sad to see it go as well... I loved what I did there and loved the people that I worked with. I just hope that I get the opportunity to go back sometime soon!!

Today I let the kids stay home and we ventured out for lunch downtown, which is always an adventure.. lol... and then went to the police station for my police check for my temporary licence and to drop off my evaluations for school.... I wil definitely be happy when I see the day when I am done paying for this and that and everything in between... it's been fun... but I'm BROKE!!

Another great Sunday with great friends and time well spent outdoors on our bikes. We started the day with groceries as we always do on Sunday and carried through the afternoon with friends over and followed it up with a purse party at a friends place, where I bought a great looking green purse... Days falling away like fluff through the sky....

I can't even begin to remember all that has transpired since last Wednesday, but I know that I did...

1. Wrote a 6 hour comp exam...

2. Attend a pinning ceremony, for which I have mixed feelings about..

3. Received results from test.... I passed!

4. Drove 8 hours to Sudbury
5. Saw my lovely other half and spent some quality time with him and the kids

6. Spent way too much and enjoyed an afternoon at Science North

7. Enjoyed dinner with Shane and the kids, for the last time till who knows when :(

8. Drove 6 hours back home.... the.next.day!
9. Paid another $300 for ANOTHER comp exam... lol..

And I'm now dealing with one little girl who thinks that the world is hers for the taking. She started this week with the crying at daycare... thought Monday she was just off because we had such a crazy few days over the weekend... but it continued again today... so I think that reality is just settling in and she has realized that she is staying here at this center now, and that things have changed... and that she won't be able to rely on Owen for everything.... :( And she is now disregarding everything I have to say and pushing all the limits... I'm not sure where to go with her, but it is something that we will definitely be working on over the next few days...

Just another ordinary day... some studying and lunch out with a friend... then back home with the kiddos and a night of pizzas and a movie.

We made our own pizza again tonight... and it was delicious yet again! We made plenty of extras and froze them as well... they froze well last time, so I thought we could make a few extra and freeze them and send them off to Shane when we see him on the weekend.

I hear we are in for some more snow... I thought, that typically, we didn't get much snow in February, that it was usually the colder month... hmmm.. well you could have fooled me... what is it they have us lined up for this week... some 15cm by the weekend... geesh... I just wanna make sure that I am actually going to make it to Sudbury Friday night.... doing all the driving while the kids sleep... please just let me get there!

The first of two things that I have been dreading for the past 4 months is now upon us..... part 1 of the finale in receiving the "registered" beside my name.... as if writing the comprehensive nursing exam once wasn't enough... they are having us write a "pre" comprehensive... just to throw us around and stir up the water a little bit.. I'll be so glad when tomorrow is OVER!

First of all... holy snow.... if you were in on ordering this after such a gorgeous day yesturday I am seriously not talking to you until it's gone!! I spent the first hour home outside trying to get us into the house... there was snow piled EVERYWHERE! It should not be allowed to be left so long on the streets and sidewalks either... talk about a messy ride home! Oh well... rant over... until I have to go out there again in 20 minutes to shovel again *insert rolling eyes*

The kids thoroughly enjoyed their first day of daycare at the new center as well. I stayed close and studied all day at the library just to be close incase something came up... but they had a great time and seemed to fit in well, which was great to hear.

Tonight was quiet... we skipped Ballet, which the kids were unaware of. There was just too much snow and we finished dinner late because of trying to clean up outside when we got home... and I have an appointment in the morning... they'll have to be up early and out the door earlier than usual and I didn't want to cut into their sleep time. And besides... I have an inventor on my hands now... lol... seems someone has been watching a little too much, "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" and thinks they are now an awesome inventor like Flint Lockwood and his spray on shoes... lol.. he has even taken possession of my lab coat and loves that it is about 30 times to big for him like Flints was originally.... because.... "inventors grow into their coats mom" lol... awesome!! He even wore it to bed.... even more awesome inventorness... lol...

Ahhhhhh... now I know why I DO NOT allow them to sleep in bed with me. Blankies here, and snugglies there... one kids fighting with the other, because her hair is on his pillow... feet to the back, pillow stealers.... next time I will just deal with the whining and the cold bed!!

Ah well.. a decent day all around... minus the overnight of course! We did head out for a walk to enjoy the weather because it was so darn beautiful out after groceries and ended up taking the stale bread and walked over to the pond behind my parents, except it was frozen.... and the ducks were gone! That lasted all of about 30 seconds before Shelby freaked out and was done with the whole adventure... lol... next time sweety.... next time...

Alright... Saturday night... and here I am... on the computer, kids are still watching some Valentines favorites movie they received from "cupid" for Valentines Day... and I am contemplating actually going to bed early.. and even making it a cuddle up night and allowing them to hang out with me in my bed for the night... lol.. I know that I will be kicking myself in the morning, but it's Saturday night.. and they were good little people today, so I think I can give in for just one night :)

I didn't take any pictures today... we were busy here and there and didn't really have any time to hang out outside between shopping and friends and house stuff... soooooo... I'm going to spare you all and not put up another picture of the kids and promise to get something cute for tomorrow... it's my neices birthday.. that is sure to get me something good!!

Pizza and a sleepover....

I had a great day today... little shopping in the morning for dinner, lunch and a movie out with a great friend, last day tears at the daycare... and a great night with the kiddos and Mckayla, as we are having her for a sleepover tonight.

We started the night by making delicious pita pizzas... thanks for the delicious idea Jess! The kids all decorated their own pizza with ham, bacon, peppers, olives, pineapple, muchrooms and cheese and into the oven they went... I wish I had of taken some pictures of them before we all devoured them... they were DELICIOUS!!

I'm hoping for a quiet night... the girls are in bed... or course there is a lot of wispering and giggling going on, but I'm hoping it starts to quiet down soon... Me and the little guy are going to catch a late night movie together on the couch :)

I can't beleive that the week is almost over again... I think having the holiday has forced the week to go by too quickly. Now on an average week, I would welcome the weekend graciously and have our time planned out, but this weekend marks the last week for me to study before my mock registration exam for the college. My life has consisted of papers upon papers and thick text books once the kids were asleep and that all draws to a close on Thursday when I write the two part test, spanning over 6 hours, which is then followed by a pinning ceremony for another 2 hours in the evening.

I can definitely say that it is going to be one hell of a day... but I am looking forward to it being over! If I could just write the test today and get all the nervousness and uncertainty out, I WOULD!!

I'm still hoping to get something in on the weekend... the kids want to head to the library and I am having the girls over for tea on Sunday.... I think that, along with my notes everywhere should suffice... that is, if I can find them under the mess of all these papers come Saturday ;)

Quiet days....

It was a quiet day around here... the kids went to day care this morning... of course they went screaming that they wanted to stay home... but mommy really needed a couple hours to gain her sanity back!

I finished up the basket today for the daycare, Friday is approaching quickly and I just wanted to give them something to show our appreciation, and with there being 10+ providers in the center, we just decided to write up nice cards of thanks and put together a backet full of yummy sugary goodness! I hope they have a minute to enjoy it and know how truly blessed we all were to have them in our lives.

The evening ended quietly which was NICE!! Owen and Shelby helped with dinner and even ate nicely together with me at the table, no snickering or "don't look at me"s... it was nice... even TV time after pyjamas was civil.. whoo hoo! I focused my pictures tonight on the kids... the atmosphere has changed so much from the other day, I just wanted to preserve it.

Holy crazy day. I'm not sure what was worse, the attitude that I got from Owen all day or the sass that Shelby showed at every turn we made. I'm not sure who those kids were today, but they definitely fell from another tree!

We did manage to get everything done today though... and I should of seen it coming... late night out last night, late to bed and then early to get up to visit the new daycare... I should of just called it a day at breakfast and went back to bed! I'm happy that things improved half way through the day while we were out though... there was no way I could of continued with that!

We spend the afternoon quietly... watching a movie... well the kids did anyways... I spend the afternoon making "thank you" cards for the kids daycare... we are sad to be moving, but there really is nothing else we can do :( It was definitely a day for reflection after writing all those cards...

Another great day spent with the kiddos and some close friends. We headed out to Woodstock today to Nicole and Jeremy's and spend the afternoon tobogganing and watching movies. It was a nice way to spend the day and we enjoyed our time out there. The kids had a great time and were asleep long before we arrived home and were asking when the next time was that they could go back!

Well we spend a quiet day mostly at home, with a few stops here and there. We started with gifts from "cupid" this morning, just something small... a movie and a small toy.. and Owen wanted to know why "cupid" didn't get me anything, seeing as it was my birthday and all... so I just told him that it was for kids and when you got older it was for Mommies and Daddies to exchange gifts, and seeing as Daddy is away, when we head up to visit him in two weeks, he'll be taking Mommy out for a very special dinner ;) He seemed to take that, but it was cute to see the concern on his face because I didn't get anything.

We made a quick stop at the grocery store this morning for some things for a day out tomorrow and spend the better part of the afternoon painting bird houses... they didn't turn out so pretty, but they are true peices of art done by the kids and I will proudly display them in the tree in the yard for the birds in the spring. We are hoping to make a project of it and quite a few more for the back tree... I think it will look pretty to see them all back there!

Lastly... we spend the evening over at my parents for a good home cooked meal for my birthday. It was nice to get out and I enjoyed seeing the family. Tomorrow we are headed out to a friends for an afternoon of tobogannaning and another dinner. Should be an enjoyeable afternoon.

Holy, it's now Saturday and I think the last time I posted was on Monday! This week has been so crazy and busy that it just kind of slipped out from under me. I was working, the kids had ballet, family time with the parents, time out with friends, shopping, studying.... and of course a great night out with the girls last night!

It's now the weekend and I am enjoying the kid free morning while I have it, because tonight Shelby is having a sleep over, so things should pick up and get pretty LOUD around here... only thing worse that one little girl with a shreaking voice is TWO little girls with shreaking voices.. lol

Oh well... I gotta run.. shower and get the laundry started before they come home. Thanks again for an awesome night last night... I'll leave you with some pictures :)

Ballet and burned cheeks

I totally forgot.. lol.. maybe because it has really been one of the more odd things Shelby has done, but she decided to apply sanitizer to her face when she got up through the night to go to the washroom... I didn't see it till this morning, or I would of cleaned her face immediatly after she did it. She is now sporting a nice red glow on her cheeks and chin.. I tried to take some pictures of it during dinner, but it didn't really show up in it's true redness... the ones from ballet show it a bit better though.

Ballet was also fun tonight... the parents showcase... long night though... Shelby never lasts through Owen 45 minutes and is a total basket case come the end, but it was worth it to see the little people dance their little hearts out. I appologize at the lack of Owen pictures tonight... that was due to one certain little Miss.... :)

Valentines treats and running around.....

Been a busy, but productive morning so far.... went out and did some running around to get the kids registered for school this afternoon and did something for myself that had to be done and came home and finished up the kids Valentines bags for daycare. I am letting them make the attempts to write names clearly on the little Valentine cards, but though to save an argument over who wants what in their bags, I would do it myself. The turned out alright too... and I think I even did all them without eating more than two peices of the chocolate.. whoo hoo... my thighs will be thanking me someday ;)

The weather seems alright today too.. still a bit bitter, but bearable for being out and running about. Hope everyone is enjoying their afternoon... I'm off to finish the regestration for Owen and Shelby to start school in the fall and then ballet after dinner...

Okay... so yeah, I know that it has been a few days, but my lack of time being on 12's and trying to work through the stomach flu have left me not wanting anything other than my bed! I think I got lucky this time with getting sick, in that I wasn't left to fend for everything on my own. The MIL was in town watching the kids while I worked and she just kinda carried on while I went to bed and slept in. So super nice of her, and today I am starting to feel somewhat better, still limited on the food intake as everything is still making me quesy, but were getting there.

So today we made cookies and had friends over for a light dinner. More so just so the kids could play and I could get a little adult time in... but either way it was nice. I'm off for a few days, but am taking the kids to get registered for school tomorrow and then off to the new daycare for a visit on Tuesday... gotta love that... I hope the transition is a smooth one.

Pictures aren't all that interesting today, but it was all I could come up with... Shane forgot the charger for the camera in his bag when he went back for work a couple weeks back and I've been left with one bar on the battery, so I kinda just shoot and take what I get.. lol

It's started out quiet so far, and I'm hoping it stays that way! The little people slept until just after 10 (I let Owen stay up and watch a movie in his room so he would hopefully sleep in a little and allow Shelby some much needed rest... and it worked!). They've just been snacking lightly and watching movies, cuddling on the couch, not together of course.. lol

Should be a quiet afternoon, which will be nice... I started the laundry last night, but there is a tonne more from her little episodes last night... till then....

Another looooong and crazy day and another 12 hours in at the hospital. I am really enjoying my time there, but sometimes the days are so long!

The kids are doing well and getting along somewhat... but what 5 year old boy wants to get along with his 3 year old sister!? There are just so many things that are more important than including her in anything he wants to do... lol.. unless of course he needs her for an experiment of some kind or a game... then he's mad because she has decided she no longer wants to bother.... ohhhh.... the life of a preschooler!

It's nice to get a few days off... things have been hectic to say the least. I think that I sometimes take things for granted and have really been having issue about being the only one home right now with the big man away for work. I manage fine, but it's just not the same :( We're managing though... and I know we will get through it and be stronger for pushing through.

Nothing much else is new... although I am looking forward to getting this camera outside and get some prictures of something other than the kids and the cats... lol... I love them and all, but I really want to test this thing out!

What a looooooooooong day! Up for 5am and here it is 11pm and I still have to do it all over again tomorrow. I have 12's at the hospital this week... and my lovely 3 day stretch of 12's this weekend. I'm really loving the experience though and can't wait to be done and registered and WORKING!!

I don't really have much for pictures today.... been crazy busy around here tonight and I'm only now getting a chance to sit down and update things for today.. just another one of the crazy new kids cat... Max!

Started out slow this morning, breakfast and cuddles with the little guys in bed and then headed out to the grocery store... it's always an adventure to say the least... two crazy kids and one tired Momma... did I mention I couldn't fall asleep until almost 4am this morning... gahhh... working nights is messing with my body!

Skating this morning went well, but he didn't make it to the next level. We figured it would happen, Level 1 to Level 2 are somewhat difficult and Level 2 to level 3 are beyond what the little guy is capable of right now. But he did his best and we are proud of all he has accomplished and look forward to learning again next time around. Way to go Owen!

Shelby likes it just fine though :) Skating evaluations tomorrow for Owen... keeping my fingers crossed that he makes it through this level and on to the next... I'm hoping to have a future little hockey player on my hands!!

Okay... I know I said I would have a picture up sometime today... but I don't... I thought I wold be able to catch an hour on the couch, but Shelby had other plans with some nail polish she received for Christmas.... lol... most of it came off... but she is left with blue and purples smears here and there on her legs and feet :)

We are headed to the Childrens Museum and I'm bound to get at least one post worthy picture there... I promise :)

Okay... yeah I know what you are thinking... already Jan 29th and I'm offering to put a year in pictures... I started late... this was an idea I wanted to go through with.. it just didn't happen that way, but here we are... and I promise, that once I get home from work and the kids are situated, I'll be off and running. I was given a great camera and desperately want to learn how to use it... what better way than here!
